Casa de Campo is a private resort community of roughly two thousand houses, three championship golf courses, a marina, a polo field and a beach at Minitas. It has been here since the seventies, it is gated and quiet, and a great many of the houses stand empty for most of the year.
We have worked here since 2017 — first selling these houses, then looking after them, then looking after the people who come back to them. The honest answer to “who should I book a Casa de Campo villa through” is somebody who is inside the gate. That is the whole of our advantage here, and it is not a complicated one.
Twelve minutes from the runway.
La Romana is the closest airport and now handles more private movements than anywhere else in the country. Scheduled service into it is limited and seasonal, so most commercial arrivals come through Punta Cana or Santo Domingo. We meet all three.

- SDQ — about an hour and a quarter.
- The resort fee
- Everyone staying in a private villa registers with the Villa Owners Club and pays a daily fee for resort access. It surprises people at check-in; we settle it in advance.
- Getting about
- Golf carts, not cars. Every house has them. A car is only useful for leaving.
- Best months
- December to April. February is the one to ask for. book early
- September–October
- Hurricane months. We will talk you through what that actually means rather than pretend it is not a factor.
It is calm, green and gated — and it is not a nightlife destination.
Families, and people who play golf.
Multi-generational families especially — there is room, there is staff, and the children can be let loose in a way they cannot be in a hotel. Golf groups, for the obvious reason. And anyone who would rather have a house with a proper kitchen than a suite with a minibar.
If you want bars and a scene, that is Punta Cana or Santo Domingo, and we will tell you so.
Three courses, one of them famous.
Teeth of the Dog is the reason a great many people come, and it deserves the reputation — seven holes directly on the sea. Dye Fore has the more dramatic setting, running along the cliffs above the Chavón river. The Links is the one visitors underestimate and members play most.
Tee times move and the good slots go early. We hold them, along with the caddies you would want twice, carts, clubs if you are travelling without, and lunch at the hour you will actually want it.
